I wish to be a celebrity

Imaly, 15

Gastrointestinal disorders

Imaly is a 15-year-old girl with a contagious smile and unwavering determination. From a young age, she has dreamed of experiencing unique moments and sharing happiness with her loved ones. But behind her boundless energy lies a journey marked by significant challenges.

Born prematurely, Imaly faced serious complications in her first few weeks of life. At the age of 9, a life changing diagnosis came to alter her world: a severe gastrointestinal disease. From that point on, her life has been defined by extended hospital stays, complex treatments, and numerous surgeries. Despite these challenges, Imaly has never lost her sparkle or her courage.

To celebrate her remarkable strength over the past few years, she had the chance to live an unforgettable dream: a VIP experience at the heart of the Star Académie show. Welcomed warmly by the production team, she got an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour like a true star. The experience included a private dressing room, a tour of the Academicians’ bus, a backstage tour with host Joël Legendre, a visit to the hair and makeup station, a photo shoot in front of the famous 7 Jours magazine canvas, and a memorable meet-and-greet with the contestants. She even got to attend the general rehearsal and chat with professors and public figures Émily Bégin, Véronic DiCaire, Garou, and Pierre Lapointe. But the most magical moment was undoubtedly watching the Sunday show… from the front row!

The next morning, the experience continued in an equally extraordinary way. Invited to the Salut Bonjour! set, Imaly shared her journey and adventure with Ève-Marie Lortie. It was an emotional moment, where she spoke about her resilience and the importance of believing in her dreams, no matter the obstacles.

“Seeing Imaly experience such a magical moment, away from hospitals and treatments, was a real breath of fresh air for the whole family, her mother Rose shares.“This dream allowed her to escape, feel special, and most importantly, regain a sense of carefree joy.”
