I wish to host a TV game show
Christos, 13
gastrointestinal disorders
Christos is a 13-year-old with boundless energy and a natural ability to make people laugh and capture their attention. From a young age, he has dreamed of hosting his own TV show. However, behind his bright smile is a journey shaped by illness.
Christos was born with a gastrointestinal disorder, detected while his mother, Marianna, was still pregnant. A difficult birth was just the beginning of a challenging journey. For Marianna and her husband, George becoming parents for the first time should have been a wonderful experience, but it quickly turned into a time of uncertainty and fear.
Christos’s early years were filled with extended hospital stays, complicated treatments, and multiple surgeries. Each day felt like a fight for his survival and growth. The family, consumed by medical appointments, found themselves in a time of confusion and isolation. They endured deep pain and frustration over the unfairness of the situation, struggling to find any sense of relief.
Today, Christos is thriving. His health improves every day, and his determination inspires everyone he meets. What fuels his drive and imagination the most is his wish of becoming a host one day. To his delight, on his birthday, Christos finds out he will be traveling to Toronto to co-host his favorite show: Family Feud Canada
When Christos arrived on set, he was treated like a true star. A private dressing room awaited him, stocked with a custom suit, his favorite snacks, and a production team eager to provide him with an unforgettable experience. Meeting the show’s host was a surreal moment for him. “I had never seen him so happy. He was so full of energy, yet not nervous at all. It was as if it came naturally to him.” At the end of the show, the audience gave him a standing ovation.
